They were a rag tag bunch and had picked up a few extras along the way that were not included in the original fellowship. They set out on their mission to end the rain of Sauron by destroying the ring forever. Bilbo had even decided that he would go ahead and tag along this time around. As they made their way out of the elven city and onto the road, night began to fall. Everyone curled up around the fire and promptly fell asleep. Aragorn was set to keep watch for the first half of the night. As he sat there stoking the fire, he was hit by a blunt object on the back of the head and knocked cold.
As the fellowship arose they noticed something was wrong with Bilbo for he was not moving. They went up to him and saw it. He had been stabbed threw the heart with a small dagger. Aragorn retold what had happened the night before and they all came to the conclusion that there were spies among them. Someone from inside the camp had knocked him out and killed Bilbo. Someone did not want them to succeed.
