Duo Maxwell : Theres always the thermalright HR-03 series, they claim to be able to run fanless, but I hear t takes up a full 4 card slots when used with a standard width fan in under the card mode as it can go either hang under or wrap over the card. the HR-03 Plus »www.thermalright.com/new_a_page/···aWFzdA== has 2 extra heatpipes from the looks of things, so that may be a nice model to look at. Has anyone seen any benchmarks of the HR-03 Plus being used fanless with the HR-11 »www.thermalright.com/new_a_page/···aWFzdA== backside cooler? Every time I see anyone use the HR-11 it's being used as an addon for the stock cooler, but never as part of a full fanless setup.
--
Please visit »duo-maxwell.stumbleupon.com/ - »heatedebates.net/ - »microsuck.com/forums/index.php - »libertynewstv.com - »innworldreport.net/ - »freespeech.org

Dream Killer : You can increase the effectiveness of the VF-1000/RHS88 if you rip out the HORRIBLE Zalman fan and strap on 2x quiet 80mm fans - in my case, 2x 80mm Nexus fans (both at 100% speed). Takes up a full 4-slots, though. This setup keeps my heavily-OCed 8800GTS640 at 64C at full load (which is good for an 8800GTS640) and its exponentially quieter than the stock Zalman fan at 100%.
<TABLE WIDTH=95% align=center border=0 CELLPADDING=4">

Perfect fit for 2x80mm.

Doesn't look too shabby either.
