G.dmt caps at 8128. At 9kft you'd need ADSL2 or higher for the basic standard. Bellsouth has always overcapped their high residential tiers. Not sure if VZ does.

Bellsouth has never overcapped their 1.5 service. In fact while others sold 1.5 as 1536, it was Bellsouth always set to 1472 sync rate for "their" 1.5 service.
