Still nothing but I got this email today:

Dear feedback panelist,

We recently invited you to a survey to help us find out whether or not your free product had arrived. Thank you for your response.

In case you told us that your product was still missing, we have instructed our shipping center to get a new copy of your product selection out to you in case you informed us that your copy was still missing. Please allow 3 weeks for delivery, as we saw a wide range of delivery times on our first shipments. We apologize for the delay - thank you very much for your patience!

In case you informed us you have received your copy already – thank you very much for letting us know.

Please note that we had a few respondents from foreign countries and we are not able to send out products outside of the US, as the program was strictly US residents only.

Well, hopefully, it won't take three weeks more to get to you!

Did everyone get that email inviting you to a "survey to help us find out whether or not your free product had arrived"? I never got an email like that.

I'm pretty sure it only went out to people that had reported that they hadn't received their product yet.

Must be nice, I still don't have mine.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll get Vista this week.

Hey, I got my software today...sort of. There was a notice in today's mail that I owe $0.17 postage on a large envelope from Microsoft.

Well, at least I'll have it tomorrow.

That's great news even if you have to pay those 17 cents, at least the USPS didn't send the envelope back to MS because of the missing postage and you get to receive your software sooner.
Remember that Uncle Billy is (almost) retired and is probably pinching pennies now.

I hope Microsoft didn't put the wrong postage on ALL of those they had to send out a second time!

EDIT: Don't PM me. If I give it away it'll be to a friend rather than a stranger, sorry.

Does it make me a jerk if I've determined Vista is useless and am now debating on what to do with my copy when others are still waiting for it?

It says "Not for resale." So apparently I'm not allowed to sell it yet it'll probably do nothing but gather dust in my desk.

I should of known not to post that previous thread. I've already got three PM's asking for it. If I'm going to give it away for free it'll goto a friend over a stranger, sorry.

I guess my point is it would sure be nice if I could sell it. Especially if we're going to receive tax forms for it down the road that indicate the retail value of it even though technically, it has no real value. (If you haven't been following this thread someone several pages back showed evidence MS is doing this for a similar program and might do it for this one as well.)

Yes I did. Last Friday I went to the post office and paid the 17 cents postage that Microsoft cheaped out on, they paid $1.00.

I got the notice on 6/5/08, the envelope was postmarked 6/2/08. So much for sending out my software right away.

Good thing you finally got it, as far as I know you were the last one from the dslr gang who was waiting for the software.

I think the USPS goofed up by charging you instead of MS for the price difference, they're supposed to send the piece of mail back to the sender asking to add the missing postage.
Anyway, it was only 17 cents and you can always send MS an invoice for that plus your time and gas.

I thought about emailing them to complain and see if they would give me anything else but decided I would probably get nothing more than my 17 cents, maybe.
