| To redefine my statement: I'm surprised they started to offer the 16/2 config over the 16/1 config in the legacy DOCSIS 1.1 areas. I'm in an ex-Adelphia area that is DOCSIS 2.0 and had 16/2 since day one.

F.W.I.W., I've had the 16/2 Blast tier service for about a year now. I previously had the 8/768 Gold Tier and was automatically upgraded at the same price of $52.95 without ever asking ! Thanks CC !
P.S., Fios wasn't then, and still isn't anywhere in sight around here..
