(10 mbps down and 903 kbps up. I only get 2.8mbps down and 768 kbps up with Verizon). Standalone DSL here is $34.95 with Verizon and $39.95 with Cavalier (3X the speed for $5). Just have to watch the billing and customer support with Cavalier like a hawk. But many have the same issues with Verizon (including me).

It would be a nice gap-bridge to tide over DSL users until some of these more remote areas are lucky enough to be reached by the Fios service.
