Holiday Buyer/Seller Beware

First, the For Sale mod crew would like to wish you all a Safe and Happy Holidays!

Now to the title subject.
Unfortunately, this time of year is a prime time for scammers, both sellers and buyers.
Hopefully this thread will get you to be more vigilant in your transactions.
Here are a few ways to help yourself from being taken:

• Get a phone number and address and verify them.

• Check buyer and seller reviews in the For Sale/Wanted forum.

•If they have an eBay account, verify their ID by sending an email through ebay asking if they are who they say they are.

The links below will provide more details:

While the mods try to do as much as we can to help when there is a problem, we are not the police, detectives, bounty hunters, or assassins, so there is only so much we can do.
We also don't have member's personal information, unless we know them personally.
So, take your time to verify facts.
Remember, you can usually buy/sell an item somewhere else, but most of the time if you get scammed, you don't get your money/item back.
One last thing, I think people underestimate their instincts.
If something about a transaction feels off, or you have doubts, I would back away to transact another day.
