I have Sprint for cellphone service only. Note, I'm out-of-contract.
My current plan is $35/mo for 300 minutes, plus unlimited after 9pm and on weekends and holidays.

New York State Sales Tax - Services & Usage: $1.10
New York State Wireless 911: $1.20

SURCHARGES & FEES
Queens County Special Fee: $.22
Queens County Surcharge: $.03
Queens County License Tax Surcharge: $.52
New York State Gross Receipts Surcharge: $.10
New York State Excise Tax Surcharge: $.95
Federal USF Non-LD Surcharge: $.88
Federal Wireless Number Pooling & Portability: $.15

Do you folks in "Middle America"  have that many fees, or is this something unique to New Yorkers?

TOTAL TAXES, SURCHARGES & FEES: T-Mobile is $2.59
TOTAL TAXES, SURCHARGES & FEES: Sprint is $9.38
And the City of San Luis Obispo charges a city-utility tax of $3.54 on my sprint bill. WTF???!!!!
I have 5 days left on my 30 day Sprint try-out period. Glad I kept my T-Mobile account. |

Oh, it's not just you. "My Sprint is Temporarily Unavailable" as I write this, but my taxes on a $70 bill typically came to $10, including $8 in local city taxes. I recently switched to the SERO plan and cut my bill to $30, but I'm sure the nickel-and-dime taxes will still be bad.

Make up an address down south in Baton Rouge Lousiana use

type in 225-339 use residence from that list as your billing address. set up automatic payments or enroll in sprint online billing to view and print your bill online if there is an option to stop paper billing then stop it.
