Somewhat new to the wireless thing, but are all of the wireless services ultimately linked to one of the major ISP's, or is the technology something that can merge with the network "on its own" (what a piss poor phrase on my part)? My apologies if this question doesn't make much sense, but I'm hoping some will understand.
You could see where I'm going with this, if linked, then ultimately controlled by decisions made by the principal system/provider? |

| It really depends on the wireless you company you go with. TeraGo is a lastmile carrier, and has diverse path to the backbone. Many others are a sham. So to answer your question ask who they peer with at the backbone, make sure they have diversified the connections.
Be careful of the radio's that they use. and how they have put together the network. Ask how they manage the service. Many wireless guys will just open up a radio and load it full of subscribers. At first service will be good, but if to many people jump onto the same radio. You may find yourself in crawling. |
