 | Broken Spam Filter Usually, I don't see too much spam here at work because our Spam filters are very good. One Monday morning not too long ago, though, I signed in and checked my e-mail. I was surprised to see about 700 messages. Turns out that the spam filter had broken over the weekend and wound up letting everything through. It was fixed quickly, but it served as a good reminder to everyone in the organization just how necessary a good spam filter is for businesses. |

| When management complains that 3 or 4 messages slipped past the filters, I always tell them I'm taking down the filtering program to upgrade/tweak/repair/whatever. Usually after 2 days of complete bombardment, they understand what the percentages on the reports REALLY mean, and stop complaining about a few misses.
This lasts for about 6 months. |

But its not giving up. Its realizing that you dont need certain people and the bullshit and drama they bring to your life. |

 | reply to jester121 Maybe you need to tell them that a few passing through the filters are unavoidable unless they're willing to put up with false positives and the lost mail because of them. |
