Re: U-Verse AVAILABLE in my FTTP area in OKC

Wow, their site is SLOW. But I finally got it ordered. U200 and Elite, scheduled for install on Monday the 17th at 8am.

I thought you were avoiding it based on your comments in »I got a letter from AT&T. -- did something change, or is Cox's service a lot worse than AT&T's?

I'm keeping Cox in parallel to compare them for a month or so. I want to give it a fair chance!

EDIT: To elaborate a little more...
Cox was pretty unreliable at first. However, they recently completed the 1ghz upgrade in my area, and reliability has been great lately. The things that turn me off about Cox are the monthly bandwidth caps and recent BitTorrent throttling.
Both services have advantages and disadvantages...I do want to get some first hand experience with the UVERSE FTTP product, though, to form a more informed opinion.
