And what's in it for us?

Everest (a cable co) is in direct competition with TimeWarner, so I have to wonder what Surewest gets out of the deal, as well as what will happen to Everest customers... Will they see FTTP any time soon?

What does surewest get out of it? Heh, a small company that goes up against a giant and has 40% penetration in most areas is quite a good purchase, considering that a year ago seaport purchased everest for 70mil and is now worth double. I want that kind of investments
