Apparently, he has already had the bill reduced to C$3,400.
Hmmm....I need to get him to renegotiate our mortgage......
With skills like that, he could make a killing in the private sector!

I bet they just charged him their cost. It just shows you how overpriced some services are, and how cheap they can afford to actually sell things for.

That's no where near their costs... I don't remember where I saw it on here, but it was posted as news a while back that the cell phone companies are charging a million times more than their costs in providing the data service.

If he can managed to get an $84,000 debt he clearly owed under the terms of the contract, reduced to just $3400......I'll gladly put him in charge of contract negotiations!

Oh, it was posted on the internet somewhere? Then we should believe it. End of thread.

Oh, it was posted on the internet somewhere? Then we should discount it. End of logic.

That's a load of crap. If cell phone companies are charging "a million times more than their costs in providing" anything, their profits would be through the roof and their stock would be the most valuable stock anywhere. The proof that this IS NOT THE CASE is in the stock reports, which are transparent because all of these companies are publicly traded. Cell phone companies do make money, but they don't make "a million" or a thousand, or a hundred, or even ten times their cost. THAT is reality.

Their cost is $75 a month for unlimited.
Anything over $75 a month is way over the cost.

OK, well I read it here on THIS site..... I might have it wrong and it might be compared to the internet they charge a million times more for bandwidth, or some other outrageous number.... It's definitely not 5, 50 or 100X more, it's in the thousands or more.
