| Thinking of switching to Acanac? Check with me first
I switched to Acanac on Nov. 27th. The main reason for my switch was the lack of service from my old ISP. Now I'm with Acanac and right now, I am not happy that I switched. Since Nov. 27th, I have not benn able to retreive or send emails through Outlook, nor through the web-based 'Squirrel Mail.' I opened a ticket 2 days ago and thus far, no comments have been made and the problem persists. The one 'live' person I spoke with on the phone was less than helpful. I explained that I would exercise my right to cancel within the 30-day period for a full refund if this problem is not resolved today. The (lack of) technical support rep said she would send an email. Well, the clock is ticking... |

We did not only setup a test account. We sent 5 test E-Mail(4 of them from yahoo, hotmail, fastmail, roger) plus Acanac itself and all 5 were delivered to this test account.
The email account you created is also working. We can not replicate your issues. Your more than welcomed to request a refund. This is the reason why we offer a 30 day money back guarantee.

Unbelievable! It's a wonder that Acanac stays afloat with such terrible customer service.
The email account that I set up originally DID NOT WORK. I don't care how many emails you sent to that account - it's useless unless I can send or receive through it. I said it before and I'll say it again: I AM NOT ABLE TO LOGIN TO THE ACCOUNTS I SETUP THROUGH THE ONLINE SQUIRREL MAIL.
I set up two more email accounts yesterday and I'm not able to login to them either.
Terrible service. TERRIBLE! |

How are we offering bad technical support? We can not repeat your error. The email service is working correctly. Once again we can not repeat your error and the most likely reason is that the problem is on your end.

are you able to get to the login screen ? Have you made sure your firewall isn't blocking ports ? Disable your firewall or try from a different location and let us know if you get the same results. Interesting how we have tried from our DSL, Hosting Nework, Rogers Connection, and Dialup and in every single case we are able to login successfully. Sandro H »www.acanac.ca |

I have set up yet another test account and was able to send emails to it from hotmail. Does this mean it works? NO. I also sent a test message to a couple of fictitious emails (r2d2beavisbutthead@acanac.net & r2d2beavisbutthead@hotmail.com and only hotmail bounced. Hmm - emails to fictitious addresses at Acanac don't bounce. Yup - email service is working great.
Here's a test for you now. I'm about to send you a PM with the email address & password of the test account I created. Let me know if you can get into it through the online Squirrel Mail.

| The test email account you created has yet to be created. Email account creation does not happen instantaneously. It can take up to a few hours for it to be setup. I don't know how you even got one returned message since the email account was not even setup.
Check again in the next few hours and the account should be created by then. If you have any other questions please let me know.

What about the accounts I created yesterday? Have they been created? It's been more than 24 hours since I created those accounts and I'm not able to login to them either. |

| It is created in your administrative portal, but not yet passed on the the Email server. The system is not entirely automated. This was done on purpose in order to prevent abuse. I have requested one of our admins to speed up your email account setups. Check again within the next 1 hour and they should be functional.

| reply to dishguy Why not just switch to gmail? That is where we have two of our email accounts using our domains. The hosting of course is elsewhere with »www.bluehost.com.
