Re: AT&T is getting $0

Read the quick summary of the article, and you'll see this has nothing to do with AT&T. The big Canadian flag should also give you a clue the article is about a Canadian Company, clearly shown as Bell Canada.

We've seen several users incur massive iPhone bills from AT&T (from $3,000-$4,800) because they didn't read the fine print for their data plan. However, None of them can hold a candle to one Canadian man who used his mobile phone as a modem a received a whopping bill for $85,000. He signed up for a $10 unlimited mobile browser plan from Bell Mobility, unaware that tethered data transfers would incur additional fees.
You are correct. The post is misleading since it compares the bill to similar big "iPhone" bills from AT&T. Although it doesn't mention the Canadian man used the iPhone (it says mobile phone), I assumed from the opening sentence that we were still talking about AT&T and the iPhone. The last sentence does mention "Bell Mobility" but I failed to connect the dots. My bad.

Such things happen to us all...case in point, I didn't see the iPhone AT&T connection when I was writing my reply, as I was more focus on it being a Bell issue.
