YOu can design a games code specifically for the console and nothing changes.

What makes it hard is for PC's there are so many different configurations.

Yep, I bought a 360 because PC gaming (for me) has been terrible for years. I don't have a 1080p set, but I have a 42" 720p Samsung plasma I bought a while back. Absolutely beautiful set.

The 360 media extender capabilities are slick too. So instead of upgrading my PC for gaming, I'm now getting into video encoding which is just ridiculously CPU intensive. I've seen some absolutely beautiful screenshots from the game, but graphics aren't everything...

UT99 and UT2k4 are still the best iterations of the game, IMO. It's still too early to pronounce UT3 a failure though, IMO.

I still think that the days of PC gaming are coming to a close, but it has been a golden year for first person shooters, regardless of the successfulness of the individual games...CoD, ETQW, UT3, Crysis, Bioshock, Orange Box, TF2.....

It's been a bumper crop year! No doubt about it!
