kudos:2 | [DD-WRT] Success! Overclocked WAP54G Processor Hey guys! Not the first time overclocking/modding Linksys routers, but this one is a little "iffy".
I just updated one of my WAP54G v2 routers from v23 SP2 to v24 RC5 and I overclocked *I THINK* the processor from default 200 mhz to 228 mhz. I'm not sure how to actually check.
Can anybody help me in making sure the processor is overclocked and not just showing in the GUI as it is?

1 edit | WELL guess what? The WAP54G is overclockable. Using telnet I was able to pull up the CPU speeds thanks to a helpful guy on the DD-WRT forums.
Something else I discovered is the CPU in the WAP54G v2 is the same CPU in the WRT54G v2.
WAP54G on top, WRT54G on bottom.

said by Asterix:does it turn the WAP into a router? It can do routing but you'll need a switch for multiple wired PCs. I can get issued a DHCP address and I can use it as a DNS pointer but since there is no WAN interface you'll need something to connect the WAP to the Internet.
