Missing Power Management Tab

Upon reformatting my computer today, I have lost the ability to wake my computer using my Keyboard. I know there's supposed to be a Power Management tab in the Keyboard properties under the Device Manager. However, the Power Management tab is no where to be found so I can't enable this feature. Anyone know of a way to get it back?

I'm running XP MCE and I haven't touched a thing in my BIOS. Waking via keyboard worked fine before I reformatted. Thanks.

If you go to Device Manager, underneath "Computer", does it say something along the lines of "ACPI PC"?

If not, you've done something that I've managed to also mess up once -- early on in Setup, ACPI support is checked for, and, if somehow that goes wrong, no mention is made. Older versions of NT Setup, IIRC, had a screen where you would have been able to catch it.

I was in a hurry, and just re-re-loaded the OS, after trying a few times to load the proper drivers. Too bad, I never saw that problem surface again. Think it had something to do with warm-booting out of a BSOD (Me bad!).

Try loading the "ACPI PC" drivers for "Computer" (Do the "let me select the driver form a list" thing). Otherwise...

Is it an OEM computer, and does Device Manager recognize the keyboard as being from that manufacturer, or being from whatever manufacturer of the keyboard you are currently using?

No it's self-built. Device Manager does recognize my keyboard...using IntelliType on an MS Digital Media Pro keyboard.

The Power Management tab is also missing from my mouse too, a MS IntelliMouse.

I used the USB hack in the threads there and it worked. The Power Management tab is back. Thanks.
