Competition is great and I would eagerly give UVerse a test run if/when it arrives in my area. Maybe not but there is enough of us around that at&t is losing on on lots of potential $$$$. Exactly what is so hard about offering even 8 Mbps? Geez. I can get 10/1 from Charter NOW, soon to be 16/2. When that happens the 10/1 tier will be $50 so why would I pay almost the same for 6/1? |

If you bundle. Last time I checked you can't just get the internet part without getting the TV part. If I don't want the TV part I'm paying a lot of month for nothing. I live in former BS territory and at&t naked DSL is $47 for 6/512. So yes $50 for 10/1 is MUCH better. |

| There are several discussions regarding subscribing to UVerse and then dropping the TV portion. Comparing AT&T's DSL and UVerse service isn't fair for your price comparison unless you only mean to compare DSL to cable HSI. In our (I'm in BS territory as well) situation, assuming reliable service from both AT&T and the cableco, I'd agree with you that the cost is a wash. The "much better" claim is debatable though. |

The DSL is 6/512 the uverse is 6/1, not much differnce the comparison is valid. Uverse isn't available where i live and no one has yet produced a stand alone price for uverse internet so I have to go by what data I do have. |
