 1 edit | Alltel customer service - any?? I use Alltel U Prepaid. So for over 2 years I go to my Personal Page and check my remaining $s and check my transactions.

Several weeks ago the site stops working. I e-mail and call Cust Serv - no help. Last weeks it begins to work again, but, 'New and Improved and More Secure'!
Now a small "Add Dollars" window spans the entire computer screen, but I can scroll all the way to the right to bring into view another section of the window where I can see my remaining $s and a place to enter a Start and End date to view my transactions.
However, entering a date range and then hitting "Go" brings up a new page - oops, it's just the same page again with the dates reset to the defaults? After entering a new Start and End date, I try again - I'm delivered the same page again. No transactions shown.
Call Cust Ser. Explain everything, including URLs to the pages. Bewildered the Rep so I get transfered to Tech Support in India. "Hello Tech Support, are you an IT person? No, well can you connect me to a a tech support person to discuss a Web page issue? No. Explain it to you? Ok." Explain it all again! "Oh, you can not understand what my problem is. You will need to open a tech report and will I explain it all again?"
Damn. Alltel is sure hard to work with!
Bad enough to call Cust Serv, press 3, press 3, then hear "please hold for the next available rep" and then a tone and "If you would like to make a call, please hang up and try again".

I have been paying my bills online for several months now, but the last two months I couldn't login. I have been busy, so I just paid by phone by calling the 800alltel1 number. |

Alltel's websites ( www.alltel.com and www.alltelu.com ) have been recently renewed. In order to access you'll be asked to register if it's your first time. If for some reason, the system doesn't accept or display some data, then please call Customer Service at 1 800 255 8351 and tell the representative that you need assistance, they are able to help you on this. Our business hours are the following:
Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. Saturday 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Sunday 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

 | They changed a lot of things and now your pass word may not be valid. I had to reset mine and then found out that now it has to be letters and numbers. That is why I couldn't sign in. They also changed the security questions to really dumb ones.
I now have everything set up again and it is working for me. But I don't like the new format of the site at all. |
