Qwest has pretty much lost the Omaha market and they aren't really in the mood to try and gain it back. The commercials are pretty accurate by cox saying 8 out of every 10 households in Omaha has Cox.
Granted, they could go balls out and wire up FTTN everywhere in Omaha and launch a huge advertising spree to get back all those customers they lost, but they are taking the lazy way out and just trying to keep the other markets. |

| It's a one way fight.
And when they do fight back it's all in the details...
Cox touts their 128/128 Cox Super Value Internet @ $19.99 then compares it to the 1.5/896 Qwest has for $26.99. Cox's $26.99 plan is 1.5/256.
You can't fight the details and $19.99 is less than $26.99, but I would be mad if my EVDO phone had 128/128 speed let alone my cable modem.
It's all in the details.
I had been on DirecTV for 4 years and switched back to Cox in the past few weeks, I had no idea they did so many self inserts of their own ads. It seems like every 10 minutes there is a bash Qwest ad.
I miss the old USWest when it comes to being innovative.
