How to confirm a paypal payment?I sold something online and the seller told me he already payed for the item using paypal.
As for starters I don't trust the lad because he asked me to send the stuff asap (he needs it for Christmas), how can I confirm the transaction? Do I need to wait overnight to see it?
Sorry but I don't know how paypal works as I never used this system before.
Thanks. |

You should have received an email that a payment was made to your account. You should also be able to see it by logging in to PayPal and viewing your account history - » history.paypal.com/us/cg ··· _historyYou should see a Payment From record. |

Yep, but I wouldn't rely on the email since we all know they can be fake. |

No email and no account history on line means no payment made. I've never not received an email from PayPal. I've received a few phishing fakes, but all valid emails came through quickly. |

I got the e-mail but when can I see that transaction in my Bank account?
I mean how is the money transferred to my Bank account?
Cheers. |

It is in your PayPal account. You need to log in to your PayPal account and transfer the amount out. |

it won't go directly to your bank account. You can verify that it reached your paypal acct, but then you'll need to withdraw to your bank account, check or credit card.
edit: if you don't have paypal, then you'll need to sign up w/ the email address you received the money at, set up your bank account with paypal then withdraw. (the initial bank account setup could take a few days) |

you can send money to any email address, but the receiver will need to sign up to actually receive it. |
