| WRT54G and D-Link VTA
Hello guys, I've got an older WRT54G and a new D-link VTA. I'm trying to setup my WRT54G so that it will allow my VTA to function. I am using ICS on another box because I have Sprint Mobile Broadband and the 595U USB Modem. The Internet PC is connected to Port 1 on my WRT54G, and the VTA is on Port 3. The IP of the VTA should be 192.168.0.102 as I have DHCP enabled on the WRT54G.
I do not have any problems connecting to the internet on any other PC connected to the network, though my vonage device will not connect. I have added the QoS settings for the VTA and have forwarded the ports for the VTA to .102.... But still no luck. Can anyone offer some insight? all of my google searching is leaving me confused. -- Dell Inspiron 6000 (x1), Dell Inspiron 531s (x1), PowerBook TI 1GHz (x1), Emachine W3506 (x1), Home-made AMD 2600+ (x1) =+=+=+= Connected to the web via Sprint EV-DO Rev. | Ok so you are funneling your Traffic through ICS and Sprint wireless Broadband? Interesting, but its prob not going to work.
Assuming your have everything connected OK Sprint is most likely blocking VOIP ports and/or IP's so you dont flood their precious network with real traffic...while also subverting their "award winning" service |

| Umm, no you are wrong. I can use my VOIP just fine if I just use an Ethernet Hub. BUT I would rather use a Linksys Router so I can take advantage of wireless. Any why would they block VOIP anyhow when they have truly UNLIMITED usage? NO caps at all - not even hidden ones. -- Dell Inspiron 6000 (x1), Dell Inspiron 531s (x1), PowerBook TI 1GHz (x1), Emachine W3506 (x1), Home-made AMD 2600+ (x1) =+=+=+= Connected to the web via Sprint EV-DO Rev.
