content vs channel

I love the comcast commercial boasting how they have 3x's the HD content as DirecTV. It is a little misleading, as it is all on demand. Props to DirecTV for pushing out HD channels

DirecTV does the same thing, they count the NFL Sunday Ticket as individual HD channels.

I agree. Total crap being fed by their marketing department.

Hey Comcast a channel is something that has a numeric assignment. Not an episode or airing!

Per the Wiki - A specific radio frequency, pair or band of frequencies, usually named with a letter, number, or codeword.

Yes DirecTV's marketing department throws out the exaggerations and distortions as much as the rest of the industry.

Yet we let the whole industry get away with it , so it becomes the norm. Really nice , no accountability.
