Re: [Unlock] WRTP54G Unlocked firmware 3.1.27 ETSI

Has anyone tried this v3.1.27 firmware? I had my WRTP54G-ER unlocked with CYT Unlocker and stowed away for a couple of months. Last week, I took it out to connect to the Internet to find out it got provisioned with this v3.1.27 firmware. Since then, I play around with this firmware and noticed of a support for T.38 CoDec for FAX. Has anyone noticed any new features added to this firmware other than T.38 CoDec?

Correction: My WRTP54G-ER was unlocked using the dd hack and not CYT Unlocker.

On my WRTP54G-NA I have the v3.1.24 linksys firmware (v3.1.22 firmware for voice) and it has the T.38 codec included. I have been using it with minimal problems for almost a year now. The only way that I have managed to get it to work without problems is by getting it to reset at least once a week. I've accomplished this by using an appliance timer. From everything that I have read the problems stem from the cache not being cleared often enough, especially for people who use torrents often. So unless this modded firmware resets and/or clears the cache on a regular preset interval the problems will show up within a week of heavy torrenting.

I am just curious. Do you have a real Linksys WRTP54G-NA device? If so, does it show a WRTP54G-NA symbol on the top-right corner? On our unlocked WRTP54G units, the top-right corner shows a WRTP54G-? symbol.

It shows "WRTP54G" on all tabs but Voice, then it shows "wrtp54g?".

I thought a Linksys WRTP54G-NA will have a WRTP54G-NA shown. Are you sure you have a Linksys WRTP54G-NA device? Can you please confirm this from the label on the back of your device to see if it does a Linksys WRTP54G-NA print?
