Hanover, MN | Still Leaps and Bounds Better Comcast I had Comcast's HD service for a couple years and just switched to DIRECTV last month. To be honest, it surprises Comcast is still considered to be competing with DIRECTV in the HD market. With Comcast, HD channels were a novelty. I watched channels because they were HD. With DIRECTV, there are so many HD channels it's starting to become just a normal channel with a good picture which is what is should be.
If you have Comcast or any I guess any other cable provider, for the love of your HD television set, convert to DIRECTV.
