| Activating a motorola SB-5101
Hey everybody I have been getting cable internet through eastlink (I'm in Nova Scotia) using a the Surfboard 5101 modem. I came across a random cable cord in my bedroom and connected it to a tv and found out it had full tier cable coming through it. I then tried the modem and found out it was also connected to the cable internet network. I figured it was coming from the apartment upstairs. As a result of this discovery, I cancelled my cable tv and internet, and bought the same modem off of ebay. When i hooked it up though, an eastlink page shows up and says an internet activation is needed. Does anybody know what to do or is this a lost cause? Thanks |

| reply to AdamDoyle who can blame me ... there is a cable popping into my apartment that just works... was there when i got there. I'll probably just order the internet again but get them to use my new modem, if they do that. I wonder if it will be a little cheaper that way. |

linksys is the default name of a SSID of an unprotected linksys router. |
