If you live in New Castle, Wilmington, Newark or Bear DE (and surrounding areas), then Blast! is available in your area. If you had been getting 8Mb, powercycle your modem and router and enjoy the 16 Mb/2Mb goodness of Blast! -- "I try to make everyone's day a little more surreal." -Calvin |

On your advice I power cycled my modem and indeed do seem to see sustained downloads of higher speeds than normal on large files. I hesitate to say whether or not this is blast at this point until I test further. Delaware county Pennsylvania out of the Wallingford head end. |

Not every modem will reveal this info.. YMMV, and you may need to reset the modem back to factory defaults for it to appear.
It will look something like this for Blast 16/2:
d11_m_ [******] _speedtierextreme2_c01.cm

| reply to inturnaround I called and they upgrade me to Blast! for the 6/384 price for one yr. But now I don't think im getting 16/2, I'm downloading from my FTP as I write this and its a sustained 176 KB/s and I barely get over 10MB download. Powerboost isn't sustained right?

What speeds do you get plugged directly into the modem (power cycle required)? -- Interested in open source engine management for your Subaru? |
