I need help please...

I have had webtv since 2000-01 it's either Philips MAT-960 Classic V.34 2 MB 2 MB 2 MB 112 MHz R4640
or Philips MAT-965 New Classic V.90 8 MB 2 MB 2 MB 150 MHz RM5230
that I have.

My question what kind of filter can I get for it so I can use the phone or have calls coming in as I'm on webtv at the same time on the same phone line too? And what would help to solve this problem?

I have phone line filter for my dsl service (a different isp) to my pc but it doesn't help putting one of those filters on for where the webtv is plugged up at. All I'm asking what can I get or buy so webtv doesn't take up the whole line and I can't make calls or have them come in when webtv at use or updating itself.

You can't use the phone and webtv at the same time. You can however set your webtv to disconnect if a call is coming in. After you finish with your call you can select reconnect and it will take you back to the place you were when the call came in.

Thx. Yeah I set it to call waiting I just wish it was something I could do like get a filter so it wouldn't take over the line and still be able to be on it and on the phone but I guess not.

I know the new ones are called msntv, I hope you do more stuff with those but mines one of those old ones when it was still called webtv.

And is there a technical reason why it clogs up the line the way it does? Such as it being so slow and old....

WebTV connects via dialup so there is no way around that..

A second phone line should fix this issue right up.

I have a friend that uses webtv she got a second number for the phone. Have you tried visiting the forums that webtv has now? She has really been pleased with the info she gains from those forums.
