Re: Those having probs with Ventrilo So? A server program should be able to use whatever port it wants (although is should probably stay above 1024). It is *NOT* the Ventrilo devs problem to worry about what ports an ISP may or may not be throttling.
If they want to use a different port, it is up to the ISP to make sure they provide unfettered access to it. The fact that the old version worked because it didn't use a port Bell throttles is irrelevant.
However, the issue is already being resolved; Deadpool is working on a fix to this issue. |
