Well I'm starting to notice my speeds going down. I'm an old RCN customer and should be in the range of 10m/768. I'm starting to get 340-450 upload speeds. The download speeds are dropping too. |

| reply to kenward1 You might try posting in a Wave forum, Wave techs sometimes read the posts. Plus it's a bit more active. »wavebroadband
I live in Concord, it's normal for things to slow down in the evenings. I have the same plan you do, speed in the east bay for 768 upload service plan maxes out at 500k.
Good Luck |

| reply to kenward1 I'm in San Mateo too & I haven't been happy with the service all around since Astound took over RCN. The speeds are fast one hour and slow as shit the next. Their customer service sucks. You cant run a speed check from the link on their website. You can check your automated account balance when calling the 800 number even thou they give you the option too. It just goes to a recording that sounds like an answering machine. I'm starting to wonder if the whole business is being run out of someones house here locally.

| reply to kenward1 At least now I know I am not crazy. I really noticed here in San Mateo right before Christmas. I don't know what the hell is going on, but if you buy a service from a company to make a profit and it's working when you buy it, why in the hell would you muck with it!? You have steady revenue and happy customers. Now you have crappy service and pissed off customers. Someone over at Astound take Business 101 over at Community College or what? Come on! |
