1 edit | What's wrong? If McCain is negotiating with the NYTimes behind the scenes to sit on a story, I'd like to know about it.
And I'd like to thank Matt Drudge for letting me know about it.
The story is either accurate or it's not. McCain should be able to withstand the story if he's got nothing to hide. He definitely shouldn't be working behind the scenes to squash a story. If he's the national hero that he paints himself to be, then he should have no problem explaining why the story is wrong in public, rather than having his team suppress it. Why the hell would he need to suppress something that's not true?

And what of the name-calling here about Drudge ("launches bomb" "gossip hound" "raking the muck")? And what of the sub-headline here that says that Drudge is the one saying that McCain pandered to a lobbyist? Isn't it the NYTimes's sources that are saying that? Drudge is reporting on the alleged attempted coverup of the Times story by McCain's team. Why such stilted reporting at Broadbandreports?
