That's normally my elimination rule, but I also look at the arithmetic mean and median. If one or both are above 7 I will be much more willing to watch the film even if the wholistic rating is below 7.

Sounds like a terrific movie! Love the Coen brothers (they have a knack for making oddly off the wall but mesmerizing movies) and Tommy Lee Jones. Will be checking this one out!
