Nice poll, Cudni See Profile!
I voted other. I use the TuneUp Utlities registry cleaner. Although not as aggressive as some others, it hasn't caused an issue in the nearly 4 years I've been using it.

Another tick on "Other". I use TuneUp Utilities 2007 along with CCleaner.

Correction: Make that 2008.

Voted CCleaner, RegEdit (manual editing) and Other. Other is a free program I have been testing recently called Advanced WindowsCare Personal Edition and which I like so far. I also use RegSeeker for searching in the registry, but do not use it as a cleaner because it's too aggressive. I forgot to vote for it.

That said, I believe that registry cleaners are inherently dangerous and do not provide measurable improvement in performance. An exception might be a program like the one offered by Symantec intended only to clear your registry of traces of its products.

I don't do regular clean up of the registry. It's not really needed.

I do use jv16 PowerTools to for searching and for editing I use Regedit and/or Safer Networking's RegAlyzer

I use 2 others
TuneUp occasionally but not so much anymore.
Eusing Free Registry Cleaner
It has never given me a problem and I love how it finds leftover Microsoft entries (especially after updating Windows)

Also love CCleaner

RegScanner v1.60 - find/search in the Registry of Windows

RegScanner is a small utility that allows you to scan the Registry, find the desired Registry values that match to the specified search criteria, and display them in one list. After finding the Registry values, you can easily jump to the right value in RegEdit, simply by double-clicking the desired Registry item. You can also export the found Registry values into a .reg file that can be used in RegEdit.

PS: You can also use this to open registry "strings" found on webpages from within Mozilla.

Open in Regedit: open registry entries, as posted on a web page, in (Windows) Regedit
