One of the purposes of LTE is to reduce the minimum required spectrum from 5MHz paired as UMTS requires today. While you won't see 100Mbps on smaller allocations, it will be possible for the carriers to phase it in over a period of months or years, if necessary, unlike what Cingularat&t has been doing with UMTS/HSDPA. |
