Link works now. Company info not obvious, but in Terms, it shows the Controller's name, and her email address as @worldline.ca , I think Worldline is a LD provider, not as much a VOIP provider, so may be this is a test market act.

Tried to sign up, but Get Number shows "No Numbers Left" for either Toronto or Quebec. But front screen shows not 5000 in total yet. Not sure.

But I think the sign up page is too simple and a script can be used to eat up all the numbers. They should put a graphics text for screening like many sites do.

Same here.

EDIT: Just retried and got my Toronto number.

They seem to release limited amount of numbers per day. So if you get "no numbers left" try again next morning.

Very true...it should however be good for a year or two.

The company behind is 295.ca, an ISP.

Anyone use wireshark to figure out how to get their username and password yet, so we can register this on an ATA?

I tried but no luck. You can register but you can't make/receive phone call. They must use auth_id instead of user id only.

Send an e-mail to them and ask if they support, the answer is 'currently we don't support hardware yet', which means they may support hardware client in the future.

Don't SIPURA ATA devices support this option?

I can get the ip address of sip server ip 208.65.240.142, but I can't receive/make phone call after I registered it with my PAP2.

server: 208.65.240.142
username: your e-mail
password: your password

Anybody who has freephoneline account can try it.

I tried using the DID number (1416xxxxxxx) as a user name and my PAP2v1 seems to register without a problem; however, when I called my number from UK, I got into my voicemail.

EDIT: I placed some local calls to Toronto and I kept getting This password is not valid error messages.

Thanks for posting SIP Proxy/server value (208.65.240.142), much appreciated.

Anyone had any success in using 3rd party VoIP/SIP Client software (eg: wxCommunicator, Express Talk)?

3rd party software is asking for "Line URI" in this format:

Would anyone venture a guess (I attempted few combinations, but none of them worked) as to possible value of "Line URI" for FreePhoneLine.ca

have you tried the password in this config file?

"C:\Documents and Settings\your_name\FreePhoneLine\FreePhoneLine.cfg"

Tried, it does not work.
I use the 11 digits phone number as username.
Still get "This password is not valid" when I dial.

This is the configuration on my pap2t-na
Proxy: voip.freephoneline.ca
Dispaly name: My Name
User ID: My 11 digit number
Password: the one I signed up with them
Use Auth ID: YES
Auth ID: the on I found in "C:\Documents and Settings\my_name\FreePhoneLine\FreePhoneLine.cfg"

This is what I got so far.
I now get "This account number is not valid" instead of "This password is not valid"

Any ideas?
