I would think that the average of 30% or so federal income tax along with various state sales taxes plus those property taxes that are annoying puts us up pretty high too but I guess that's not your point. Socialism = high taxes so we are good, they are evil right?  |

| I honestly don't know which is worse, lazy welfare mamas or filthy-rich investors that shop around looking for some city willing to build a free factory, give them free land, water, sewer and 50 year tax breaks. Of course, the city has to tax the hell out of all the $10/hr employees to pay for it all. At the end of the day I guess it doesn't matter, it's always the W2 wage earner that pays the freight for both groups of blood-sucking leeches. |
