Each time at this point in the year, I am astounded at the number of good photographers there are on DSLR. Narrowing down the best of the best image for the year is no easy task. To each and every one of those who were in a spot to be remembered and to the finalists, my hat's off to you all. And to whomever takes the best of the best for the year, thank you for allowing me to view your work.

Any of the images that I have seen here this year would make it a hard decision. Every image I have seen here is great, though some are better, none are bad.

Yes it is and was a hard choice they all are worthy of winning. All I can say is I went with the choice that was the most memorable to me not that it was any better than the others.

I think all these shots are wonderful! However, I did have a favorite and was pleased to see it make it to this stage...

Any way that this thread can be stickied so it does not get buried?

Might as well mention it, what happens in the event of a tie?

Looking at the results, I see that:

1st place is currently tied,
2nd place is down by a vote,
3rd place is down 2 votes and tied,
4th place is within striking distance.

It gets bumped on a fairly regular basis, and there's a link in both forums. Your FNM has a secret list of people who haven't yet voted, if things get dicey.

I chose art this time even though one of them is the clear winner in the "technical perfection" style.
