BryanW1 : Charter here in Gwinnett had that problem about a week ago. It took several days for VOD to work again. Interestingly enough, whatever change they made has now encrypted all of the VOD channels that used to come in via clear QAM. So some kind of change happened here - maybe the same thing is happening now in Newnan?

anon : On 12/22 I was able to watch VOD programming on both my regual digital box and my Motorola DVR box. I was trying to watch a movie last night (12/23) on the DVR box and at first I get a message saying that it failed the request and something about calling customer service with the customer service number. From then on it just gives me the "Initializing, Try again in 5 minutes..." error. I have tried on both boxes and both give the same issue. Techincal support said they emailed whoever it was that needed to look into it, but I am not sure that is really going to help near Christmas eve.

It still doesn't work, and I have tried all the normal resetting of boxes etc... The fact that both of my boxes are doing this leads me to belive it is a glitch on Charter's end not mine. Any Charter people around that might be able to tell me anything. The tech support guy said there were not outages in my area, which is what they always say when I call to report a problem. I guess I am the only one that like to call them up in my area.
