| Re: FREE VOIP for life -softphone- Toronto/Montreal numbers only I tried but no luck. You can register but you can't make/receive phone call. They must use auth_id instead of user id only.
Send an e-mail to them and ask if they support, the answer is 'currently we don't support hardware yet', which means they may support hardware client in the future.

1 edit | Re: FREE VOIP for life -softphone- Toronto/Montreal numbers only I tried using the DID number (1416xxxxxxx) as a user name and my PAP2v1 seems to register without a problem; however, when I called my number from UK, I got into my voicemail.
EDIT: I placed some local calls to Toronto and I kept getting This password is not valid error messages.

Anyone had any success in using 3rd party VoIP/SIP Client software (eg: wxCommunicator, Express Talk)?
3rd party software is asking for "Line URI" in this format:
Would anyone venture a guess (I attempted few combinations, but none of them worked) as to possible value of "Line URI" for FreePhoneLine.ca

"C:\Documents and Settings\your_name\FreePhoneLine\FreePhoneLine.cfg" Tried, it does not work. I use the 11 digits phone number as username. Still get "This password is not valid" when I dial.

@rogers.com | Re: FREE VOIP for life -softphone- Toronto/Montreal numbers only Hello,
At this moment we do not support 3rd party SIP phones or ATA's.
We will have a solution available on our web site in the next couple weeks.
Cheers, Freephoneline Employee
