Sorry if I missed this somewhere in the thread folks...but I'm curious if the Pro Edition still has this Ad like the free one does.
I don't care a whole lot about access to faster servers (I never have a problem updating anyway), or scheduling multiple daily updates (I generally check manually several times a day anyway...out of habit).
And I don't even schedule daily scans...just do it when I feel like it (which isn't too often).
However, if that Ad was gone, I might be willing to go for it.  (Even though I'd probably go back to the free version next year).
That is, if AVG and I am still living in a year.

This is interesting.
I noticed a lot of people simply installed the Pro Edition over the Free Edition. (Apparently with no problems?)
This was something I was curious about so I looked around their Site:

Well, I downloaded the program and ran it. It lasted one day! The next day when I tried to open it I got a notice that the administrator had refused access. I uninstalled it and went back to free avenge. A waste of time and effort.
