Did you bother to even *look*?

Preferences > Sounds > New Text Message

Default is "Tri-tone." There are 5 others, 6 if you include "none" as an option.

Like I said the default one(s), get old. With 6,000 text messages a month + for the last two months (12,000) about. They get a bit old.

If you have hacked it, it is trivial to do. I use my iPhone as my pager so my current text message sound is 30 seconds from a Five Finger Death Punch song. Wakes me up nicely from those deep sleeps.
