| 2-wire 2701HG does not support QoS?
I received a replacement 2-Wire wirless modem the other day to replace a worthless ActionTek. Now my CallVantage calls are garbled. I came across a Qwest forum where Qwest OneFlex users are encountering the same problem. Have I lost it to think at&t signed a 5 year contract with a dsl modem company that #1 does not support QoS, #2 at&t DSL does not coordinate with the VoIP dept to say hey, 2-wire will crap out CallVantage if we select them as out DSL modem of choice? |

| perhaps, it region dependent
I set parents up (CA area) for VOIP with DSL (at&t $10.00/mo) internet service, and they not do experience any problem
What I did: - assigned the ATA a static ip addr - port forwarded SIP, RTP - configured STUN on ATA
I initially had the ALG enabled (default); outgoing calls dropped 10-15 min. later into the calls. After disabling ALG, my parents do not have any problem using VOIP with their 2701
IMHO, The 2wire 2701 is a not a bad modem/router combo. The only downside to that is that the device does not support dyn. dns |
