Those routers are theirs unless you went to the store and bought it yourself.

They should just remotely check the firmware versions and then push the updates to the routers with the defective firmware automatically instead of waiting for people to call in with the issue. What ever happened to being proactive?
The very last thing I want is for my ISP to futz with my router's firmware without my consent.

They obviously don't have an automated system, and obviously they should. Having to wait for a customer to complain is not "automated"!

Dammit, I knew something was wrong with my router. I have ahd issues with this thing very since I got my FIOS back in June. The router was replaced once but I still have the same issues. Glad to know that I wasn't loosing my mind.

a new 10.7 BHR firmware update is apparently being released to users once they call in to report problems.


According to the above statement, they aren't.

maybe they are but the user base is to large to do all at once so do the normal updates and fix the people that are having the problem.
