What about.....

A lot of the cable ISPs are also trying to become "phone" Service Providers as well with the use of VOIP. If someone had to pay for that service, then pay for the data usage as well, personally I think we'd see a shift of funds from using the ISP as a carrier back to POTS, or perhaps the cell companies would see a boost in plans. How would that benefit the ISP? Obviously trends and usage models would need to be examined, but overall I don't think America likes the idea of "paying twice" for anything...

Just some food for debate
