obsolecent hardware forces new car purchases?

The idea that GM can't upgrade their cell transceiver because analog cell service is going offline is ridiculous. It would be expensive but not impossible to provide a replacement 'box' that performs the same function as the old analog box did. GM just wants to force entire vehicle purchases instead of investing in their loyal customers.

I'm sure glad that my solution to Onstar / GM fiasco is to buy a Ford vehicle, cell phone, and standalone GPS.
