Oh yeah, that is excellent Tim. I looked into VOIP. My wife logs more minutes with her mom, sisters, friends and would be in violation of ever TOS I read. She uses about 4000 minutes a month of phone time, a lot of LD. I don't consider Vonage good enough deal to include it which I think has either no or generous minutes per month. Her dial tone is as much her recreation as DSL to me when I am not working on server or websites. My second phone I do use mainly for business is dirty cheap bundled.

But for modest phone use, your system is what I would use living alone, not running a business out of house, no doubt!

yeah, its a great deal. The service works great, its cheap, and its better than land line quality for me. My family uses around 2000 minutes a month on it. I have an "unlimited" plan, but it basically breaks down to around 5700 minutes a month i think. It has tons of features. A free "2nd" line is included, so like whenever you get a beep, if you have a phone hooked up to the 2nd line, it will ring to that, or you can click over on line 1. Also if your on line 1, and someone needs to use the phone, just pick up line 2 and dial out. Still the same number and everything, its sweeet.

Wow that is a pretty neat feature, one phone number but two lines...interesting idea I like it

Realizing this thread is a bit dated .. but, how'd you put together such a package? Your VOIP is with WS? Can someone keep WS DSL without maintaining WS phone service?

Having never had DSL prior, I'm really behind the curve on how VOIP works. Does the hardware require a networking setup .. or does it just get fed the DSL signal? Or what?
