| [Need Info] anydvd
I admit that during previous years I have been using not-so legit versions of anydvd. But after getting a virus from a cracked version, I figure its time to go legit. (It is a great program, so I should support it).
So I already have extensive knowledge of the program and its uses, but can anyone offer any negative/positive reviews of their purchasing system/updates/ect. I would appreciate it.
Thanks. |

| No negatives on any of SlySoft's products ... for me ... I get frequent emails for updates which have made all my "backups" work quite well ...
I've purchased AnyDVD, CloneDVD (2), CloneCD, and CloneDVD Mobile ... all for a "packaged price" of about $79 ... and I have no regrets and have recommended their products to many friends who are also happy with their products and results...
A heads up is that they are shifting to Euros on January 1st 2008 which they say will increase the costs by 40%
Also another reason to purchase and move quickly is they still have a 20% "Christmas" promo going on until tomorrow 12/31/07 ... »www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html
One slight glitch I did have is that my bank initially flagged my purchase as possibly fraudulent since it is sent "off shore" ... I had to call the bank's fraud department for them to authorize the transaction.

| reply to Omega As steve1a said get it now for slySoft will be
quote: Effective January 1, 2008 (midnight GMT - Greenwich Mean Time), SlySoft will switch its pricing from U.S. dollars 1:1 to euro. This will result in a price increase of about 40%. Existing SlySoft license keys are lifetime licenses, the change to the euro does not impact existing licenses in any way. Please read our euro FAQ.

| reply to Ryan It makes good business sense, given the severe de-valuation of the dollar this year.
Strictly speaking, the price hasn't gone up at all; our currency is simply worth less and the currency change just reflects that.
said by Slysoft Euro FAQ : 6. How will the change to the Euro change my buying power here in the U.S. and how much will it either increase or decrease?
The US Dollar has lost significant buying power world-wide in recent times and this trend has accelerated in 2007. In January, the average exchange rate was 0.77 Euro to 1 USD. In early December this rate worsened to 0.68 Euro to 1 USD and this trend is expected to continue. It is this downwards trend that prompted SlySoft to move its pricing to the Euro since the greater part of our operating costs are fixed in Euro while our sales are in a steadily declining US Dollar.

| reply to Omega Yes sorry not sure what I was converting. Still on the pricy side though esspecially if you need to decrypt hd or blueray and add in clonedvd and it becomes an expensive package. Not saying its not great software its just pricy for copying dvds. At least it still comes with unlimited updates.
Im sure piracy of their software has also ramped up the price. |

| reply to Omega Well, I went ahead and bought the program. It is nice never having to worry about installing patches/cracks ect.
I did take advantage of the deal today, got it for $39.
No need to upgrade to the blu-ray/hd version anytime soon. Blu-ray/HDDVD roms are not cost effective, and the burners that exist for those formats are insanely priced. I'll stick to dvd for a few more years. |
