NTT delivers fiber to the basement and delivers ethernet after that point. VZ is delivering more bandwidth to the end user than Japan currently does.

 garmst join:2000-09-17 New York, NY | Yes, I do understand your point. I was being careful to say apartments/MDU's as opposed to houses as you are stating. Reading the installation method VZ used in one building in Manhattan, the fiber went in risers up each floor of the building and was then routed to each apartment. Japan does not do this and sends Ethernet up to each apartment in the apartments I saw in Japan. |
