Everyone is free, of course, to publish personal identification info on the Net as they choose. I tend to be cautious about that. While you appear to be trying to research and resolve an issue often discussed here ... and that is appreciated ... you tell us above that the MAC allows you to access the individual's billing account. I am assuming, my MAC would allow you to access mine and identify me, for whatever purpose. Posting it publicly would also make my identity known to countless others. Since I would be freely advertising it and not going through official Comcast support systems, I see it as an unwise move for me to make, but I have actually (as the Nazi mod) had threats here from members who don't much like being moderated and claiming to have that kind of access and the ability to wreak havoc with my account, so I do tend to pay attention. 
Rather than to ask members to expose themselves in that way, why not give an official Comcast support number or email address they can use to contact you via official channels?
Just some thoughts for you and our members.

3 edits | I couldn't agree more with sorto, and I was about to suggest to this poster that they request those that are willing to supply their MAC's, to do so via P.M's.
Also, those that are indeed willing, should first think about if they trust that this poster is indeed who and what they say they are. No offense intended to you Tier 2.
And for those that are having another thought after reading my post, yes, it's true. I'm hoping that this wins me some brownie points with the Mods for the new year
